Spiced has acquired a rep for having the most authentic Sichuan fare in Seattle . Kay and I visited last week during a record-breaking heatwave....a Seattle oxymoron. We decided to order standard Sichuan dishes that might serve as a benchmark, a basis for comparison with all the other Sichuan restaurants we've frequented. The koushuiji (lit mouthwatering chicken) was hands-down the best I've ever tasted. Mounds of hot peppers and mouth-numbing Sichuan peppercorns covering succulent cold chicken.
